This is a record of interesting moments from the field. As a bird photographer I'm often witness to strange or unusual bird behaviours, and otherwise interesting moments: strange light, curious behaviour, territorial encounters, predatory challenges etc... The photos might not all be spectacular, but I hope they can help convey the wonderful variability of our natural world. Studying birds in the field often reveals activity that isn't accounted for in field guides - like Red-shouldered Hawks hunting American Coots. I'll post the interesting moments here. Stay tuned.
