This is one of the two resident Red-tails who spend time tracing triangles between the grove of eucalyptus trees and the pines closer to the lagoon. I took this image after leaping out of my car to photograph the hawk making an attempt at a gopher. It returned to the pine and is pictured departing, to try its luck from the other side of the field.
